Vcluster

VCluster, short for Virtual Cluster, is a Kubernetes extension that allows you to create multiple virtual clusters within a single Kubernetes cluster. Each virtual cluster has its own set of resources, including nodes, namespaces, and network policies, enabling teams to work independently and securely while sharing the same underlying infrastructure.

Real-life use case examples of VCluster include:

  1. With VCluster, the provider can create a separate virtual cluster for each customer, ensuring isolation and security.

The Virtual Kubelet project supports multiple backends, including Azure Container Instances, AWS Fargate, and Google Cloud Run.
